Who: Celebrating 100 years of hope, healing and opportunity, Wellnest applies a holistic approach to emotional well-being to children, young adults, and the families they serve in Los Angeles. Wellnest offers comprehensive mental health services and housing, ensuring that everyone has access to the support needed to reach their full potential.
What: Wellnest’s Back-to-School Community Event helps children and families prepare for the school year. Children and youth can receive free school supplies and backpacks. Families with babies and toddlers can receive basic essentials like diapers donated by Baby2Baby. Other exhibitors include Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness,) WIC (Women, Infant and Children) with more participants to be announced. Families can also receive health and dental screenings, free haircuts and snacks. In addition, interactive exhibitors will offer attendees educational information, resources, and giveaways.
When: Saturday, July 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Wellnest | Exposition Park Building located at 3787 S. Vermont Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90007
Free parking is available at the Wellnest lot ,or individuals can take Metro E line, Exp Park/USC station.
Why: Wellnest’s Community Resource Back-to-School Event provides essential supplies and health services that alleviate financial burdens on families and ensures students are prepared for the academic year. With support from exhibitors and in-kind donations from businesses and community-based organizations, the event fosters a sense of community, support, and hope that contributes to the overall well-being and success of students in the communities the organization serves.
