Wellnest, a leading mental health and wellness organization, celebrated its centennial gala at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles on Sept. 27.  The event honored U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra with the Visionary Award and recognized other key figures for their contributions to mental health advocacy, including the Louchheim family, Jacqueline Jacobs Caster, David Ambroz, and Pablo Stennett.

The evening, hosted by Chris Schauble, co-anchor of the KTLA 5 Morning News, raised $1 million for the Community Wellness Center at The Nest on Jefferson, which provides permanent housing services for young adults.  Wellnest President and CEO Charlene Dimas-Peinado emphasized the organization’s bold vision of continued growth and impact in delivering trauma-informed mental health services.  Over 600 guests attended the sold-out gala, celebrating Wellnest’s century-long commitment to holistic emotional health and support for vulnerable communities.
